Led Defense of Major State University System in Pentagon Contracting Fraud Case

• Led defense of major state university system in extended contracting fraud case involving the Office of the Secretary of Defense and investigated by both DOJ (Public Integrity Section) and the Department of Defense (O.I.G.); secured access to senior Pentagon officers and leadership at other agencies; conducted much of investigation inside Pentagon and other agencies in Washington, eventually obtaining written admissions of responsibility by DOD officials, clearing state university and its personnel of wrongdoing; presented results to O.I.G. officials and Public Integrity Section of the Justice Department.
